though i had said earlier, that i wasn’t much a buffet fan,
my parents, the sister and myself,
made our way to sakura international buffet,
located at orchard shopping center yesterday.
and boy,
was i bloody disappointed!

my sister had dine in the restaurant before,
and she was saying that they had pretty much good food to look forward too.
yar right!
anyway, because of my own blunder,
we thought that we could squeeze the time for a lunch buffet,
but we came at 1530 hrs,
and had to wait for dinner buffet instead.
for those who want to dine for lunch,
the timing starts from 1200 hrs till 1400 hrs.
while dinner buffet is at 1800 hrs till closing time.
so do not made the same mistake that i did!
we had to make a stop at McDonalds,
since i was a bit hungry,
and the old man was feeling famished!
ordering a 20 pieces of nuggets was a bad idea!

anyways,
after spending 2 hours ++ of the old man,
shopping for his jeans,
sis and mom doing their make up purchase routine,
and yours truly who swore not to do any more shopping till june,
we finally settled at sakura international buffet!
our starters.

my dad brought along his canon ixus camera.
he said his pictures turned out rather ‘blur’
and he was confused with all the function buttons.
my sis and i took a look at it,
and he had placed the shots under ‘ MF ‘ macro features.

* slaps forehead *

anyway, if you don’t want a hassle when you take pictures,
canon ixus is rather a good camera.
though i have to add,
the pictures turned out flat and boring.
i’m using a semi auto, canon powershot a640 camera.
its not as good as those DSLR camera,
but i’m totally digging it!

of course, with adobe photoshop,
editing pictures is a whole lot of new experience!
though i’m no expert,
but i managed it quite well!
wahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…
anyways,
more food shots.
i tried not editing my food shots.
though i do use a bit of brightness and contrast,
to get the depth and color that brings out the food.

my sis got all excited, saying that she love the shishamo.
its this fish,
with stuffs fish eggs!
i thought she was a bit exaggerating.
the taste was like,
okay lor!

why would they serve unagi fish when there was a lot of fish bones!
i mean, literally a lot lah!

the salmon was not fresh,
the duck meat was tact too salty.
don’t make me start on the squid!
you might wonder,
what they have for desserts?

desserts and coffee time.

if you watched doraemon, the cartoon,
the main character likes to eat the pancakes.
that’s dorayaki for you!
i’ve tasted better dorayaki in taiwan!
taiwan okay!
they served better dorayaki!

oh well.
dinner was literally below the word average.
i mean, the amount that i paid at sakura international buffet,
i would rather add $20.00 more to dine at carousel,
royal plaza on scotts.

now,
that place, is rather delicious!
nice ambiance,
good service,
the food and dishes were rather a plenty.
wide range of varieties.
and it was bloody delicious and nice!
enuf said!
