since today is my 28th birthday, i didn’t want to do
yet another ‘happy birthday to you’ kinda entry.
i would want to flash back on my early days,
when i was just a cute little baby boy.
say it together gether with me peeps.
aaaaawwwwwww….

this is a lot of bragging, like A LOT lah!
but my mummy said,
i was the most beautiful baby on that faithful 14 of may 1980.
i was fair,
and my hair was so straight, thick for a baby,
and i looked very the cina bukit nak mampos!
i looked super chinese.

my mom and dad had a lot of tongue wagging,
because i looked nothing like my folks when i was a baby.

i was told that mummy was pretty upset
when neighbours,
relatives, strangers and the sewaktu denggannye,
kept mentioning that i might be switched with some chinese parents,
after i was delivered.
so jealous these people!

but despite the constant comparison that i DID not look anything like my parents,
my mom loves me,
and dotes on me.
even my father is so proud of me,
and i can swear to GOD, you should see the pictures collection he took,
when i was barely 1 year old!

as i was sitting with mummy the other day,
with my special baby photo album, i asked her,
what was it like, when i was growing up?
and she said, i was a very difficult baby.
i cried almost every night.
i made her loose her sanity quite a lot.
and she was pretty much affected when people or strangers,
commented that i did not look anything like her or my father.

she said, when i was just a baby,
i was already popular with my cousins.
i was the most BEAUTIFUL baby
among all the other babies in the neighbourhood.
i was the fairest among all of them.

my big cousins all take care of me.
they were ultra protective and adore me to a gazillion pieces.

not only that,
my mom said, when she brought me out,
strangers will just pause,
and stop to take a peek when i was inside the baby pram.
they will be like,
‘ MY GAWD… your baby is so ADORABLE!… ‘
i am totally not kidding. that’s what my mommy said…

my dad told me that when i was a baby,
i already had a signature pose.
and he loves taking my picture when i stick out my tongue.

check it out! i have my fringe down way back in 1980s!
how cool is that?!

i absolutely admire my mom a lot.
she went through so much when i was just a baby.
i think, she did have those post natal blues.
i could not confirm this,
but my dad used to say that,
my mom got pretty moody and upset a few months,
after she delivered me.

maybe of the constant gossips
and people comparing about how CINA looking i was.
